Rod E. Gillam of Cuba, MO was born on Tuesday, April 6, 1965, in St. Louis, MO to Lena Lisitano, nee Gillam and was raised by Austin and Betty Gillam. He passed away at Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton, MO on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 58 years, 6 months, and 26 days.
Rod lived in the St. Louis area in his younger years and then moved to the Viburnum area near Czar Tower. In 1970, he moved to West County near Ballwin then to St. Charles, MO where he attended and graduated from Weldon Springs High School in 1983. Rod worked as a property manager, overseeing approximately 60 to 70 properties before retiring and moving to the Cuba, MO area in 2011. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a sports fanatic. He loved baseball, football, soccer, and hockey. Rod also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lena Lisitano and Austin and Betty Gillam.
He is survived by his children Dallas Davidson Gillam of Kansas City, MO, Nathan Clay Krebbs of Tuscan, AZ, and Jessica Nicole Gillam of Lake St. Louis, MO; siblings Terry Gillam of Cuba, MO, Brenda (Vince) Macreno of St. Charles, MO, Randy (Georgia) Gillam of Oakville, MO, Linda Yi (Richard) of St. Charles, MO, Beverly Finnern and husband Mark Elston of St. Peters, MO, and Rick (Julie) Gillam of Byrnes Mill, MO; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating. Burial was at Czar Cemetery, Viburnum, MO.
