Rosalie "Lee" (Nash) Pennington

Rosalie "Lee" Pennington, of Bourbon, MO, was born on Tuesday, June 29, 1943 to George Edward Nash and Effie Evelyn Rook Nash.  She passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 12 days. 

Lee received her GED in May of 1978 and moved from Arnold to Bourbon, MO in 1981.   She worked in factories for many years and enjoyed growing her vegetable gardens every summer.  She loved doing cross-stitch and made full size quilts, lap quilts, kitchen towels, and pillow cases for friends and family. Rosalie was a good cook and one of her pastimes was searching out new recipes to try. Her recipes were stored in binders, with notes on each one, of the changes and improvements she had made.

Later in life, Rosalie become an over-the-road truck driver.  She would travel by herself all over the country and quite often would take her daughter April.  She also had her own boat and loved to fish. Lee would team up with April against their friends to play Canasta weekly.  After her granddaughter, Megan, was born, she would take her outside to play in the yard, go to the park to feed the geese, and watch movies.  She had accepted the Lord later in life and attended C Hwy Full Gospel Church in Bourbon, MO.  She read the Bible as long as she could see.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Effie Nash and her "special sister" Peggy Berger.

She is survived by her loving daughter April (Mike) Kramer of Bourbon, MO; granddaughter Megan Lee Kramer of Bourbon, MO; cousins and friends.

The family has chosen cremation as her final disposition. There will be no services at this time, but a memorial will be held in the near future..
