Russell Lee Coleman of Cuba, MO was born on Thursday, August 23, 1962, in Kirkwood, MO to Lee Gardner Coleman and Wanda Fay Coleman, nee Johnson. He passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Cuba, MO at the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 29 days.
Russell lived in Desoto, MO during his younger years, then moved to Ridgewood, MO and later to St. Clair, MO. In 1975 he moved to Cuba and attended Cuba Schools. Russell enjoyed fishing and watching movies. He was a private person who was kind-hearted and had a sweet disposition. He enjoyed the simple things in life, and he was often seen pushing his bicycle and walking his beloved dog around Cuba. Russell loved his family and spending time with them.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Wanda Coleman; brother-in-law Eddie Stradman; and uncle Lee Baumann.
He is survived by his brother Eddie Coleman of Washington, MO; sisters Joann Lynn Coleman of Washington, MO and Mary Stradman of St. James, MO; special aunt Delphine Baumann of Washington, MO; nephew Donnie DeClue of Leasburg, MO; niece “Little” Mary Fay Coleman of CA; other relatives, cousins and friends.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition. A private Celebration of Life and Inurnment will be held at Barlow Cemetery, Cadet, MO at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Cuba Animal Shelter, 224 Enterprise Drive, Cuba, MO 65453.
