Scott Edward Conaway

Scott Edward Conaway of Steelville, MO was born on Tuesday, October 1, 1974 in Rolla, MO to Charles Edward Conaway and Donna Ruth Ogle. He passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Steelville, MO at the age of 45 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Scott was a lifelong resident of Steelville, MO and attended Steelville High School and graduated with the Class of 1994.  He then attended School of Masonry for brick laying in St. Louis, MO and was a Brick Layer most of his life.  He used to attend First Baptist Church in Steelville, MO and was baptized there.  He married Jessica Desirae Asher on May 10, 1997 in Cuba, MO and to this union they raised 5 children.  

Scott enjoyed bowling and skate boarding. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting, fishing, camping, floating and grilling.  He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and liked to eat sushi, but most of all he loved his family.  Scott was a great father, stepfather and brother.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Conaway and Donna Ogle; sister Stacy Roper; grandparents Ed & Dovie Conaway and Bob & Ruth Ogle.

He is survived by his fiancée Christina Snodgrass of Steelville, MO; children Justus Conaway of Troy, MO, Kirsten Webb of  West Palm Beach, FL, Jewel Conaway, Jorja Conaway and Jasper Conaway all of Steelville, MO; stepchildren Bradlee Sands of St. Louis, MO, Brent Sands, Brendan Snodgrass, Bailee Snodgrass and Braxton Hall all of Steelville, MO; sister Stephanie (Jason) Jennings of Warrenton, MO; grandchildren Aubrie, Liam and Karson Sands all of Steelville, MO; special nephews and niece Jordan, Tyler, Cindy, Seth and Austin; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

There was a private visitation with viewing for immediate family on Friday, March 27, 2020 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service for immediate family followed with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating and was broadcasted live on Hutson Funeral Home-Steelville, MO’s Facebook Page.  The family chose cremation as his final disposition with burial at a later date.  Memorials were suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
