Scott Lee Parrett

Scott Lee Parrett of Hillsboro, MO and formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, was born on Saturday March 14, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Peter Scott Parrett and Janet Marie Scott Parrett.  He passed away at his home on Thursday October 21, 2021 at the age of 62 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

Scott graduated from Cahokia High School in Cahokia, IL and then attended Vo-Tech where he took classes for auto body work and medical training.  Later in life he owned his own rental property.  Scott had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imperial, MO.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and his side x side.  He loved the outdoors, raising his orchids, making rock sculptures, hunting, fishing, shooting guns and homemade cannons.  He especially enjoyed boating, and the Veteran’s Day Boat Parade in Florida.  Most of all, Scott loved his family and spending time with them and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peter Parrett and Janet Parrett Siegel; grandparents and uncle Chuck Scott.

Scott is survived by his aunts Roberta (George) Wallen of Hillsboro, MO and Anne Scott of Cahokia, IL; special cousin Dale (Vicki) Wallen of Hillsboro, MO; many cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service  immediately followed at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Schultz officiating. The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook page.   Burial was at Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.  Memorials were suggested to Freeman Cemetery.
