Scott Windle

Raymond "Scott" Windle, of Steelville, MO and formerly of Shelbyville, IL, was born on Sunday, July 13, 1969, in Gary, IN, to Raymond Windle and Lena Braswell.  He passed away at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, MO, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Scott attended school in Indiana and Illinois.  He met his life partner, Jean Eigenheer, and together they raised five children.  Scott worked as a roofer and handy man.  He enjoyed working on cars, cutting grass and was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved fishing, hunting, listening to music, BBQing, having bonfires and hanging out with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Windle and life partner, Jean Eigenheer.

Scott is survived by his mother, Lena Braswell of Lowe, IN; children, Christopher Walker of Toledo, OH, Robert Walker and Richard Walker (Tiffany Jones) both of Steelville, MO, Scott Windle of Effingham, IL, Joshua Windle of Charleston, IL and Kelly Windle of FL; siblings, Rick Hill of Cuba, MO, Kathy Reyenosa of Steelville, MO, Angela Sass, Theresa Swafford and Michael Windle all of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; his beloved companion, dog Duke; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.
