Tina Louise (Bergner) Hopwood

Tina Louise Hopwood, nee Bergner, of Cuba, MO and formerly of St. James, MO was born on Wednesday, July 10, 1974 in Potosi, MO to Allen Wayne Bergner and Hazel Lorene Bergner (nee Doss).  She passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 14 days.

Tina graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 1992.  She married Eugene “Gene” Fred Hopwood, Jr. on December 22, 1995 in Steelville, MO and to this union they had three children.  Tina was a member of the Steelville Country Club.  She had worked for SanVal in Steelville, MO until they closed.  Tina enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding around with the windows down and music turned up.  She loved going to their cabin on the Gasconade River, going to Louisiana and being with her family, especially her kids.  She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father Allen Wayne Bergner; grandparents; husband Gene Hopwood; infant daughter Sydney Taylor Hopwood and nephew David Gillam.

Tina is survived by her mother Hazel (Victor) Gargus (nee Doss) of St. James, MO; children Pacey Hopwood (fiancé Kolby Flathers) and Jacob Hopwood both of St. James, MO; sister Tammy (Joe) Stamper of Salem, MO; brother Tony Bergner of St. James, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Memorial Service immediately followed at 7:00 PM with Rev. Alan Miles officiating.  The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page beginning around 6:55 PM.  The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
