Tony Eugene Mason

Tony Eugene Mason, of Monett, MO and previously of Steelville, MO, was born on Thursday, October 22, 1970 in Potosi, MO to Floyd Manual Mason and Modene Annetta Mason, nee Jackson.  He passed away at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 53 years and 25 days.

Tony graduated from Caledonia High School in the Class of 1989.  He married Deborha Jean Briggs in September of 1991 at Center Point Baptist Church in Steelville, MO by Rev. Delmar Hutson and to this union, four sons were born.  Tony had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior, was baptized at Center Point Baptist Church and was a previous member.  Tony worked his entire life in the timber industry and was a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or riding four-wheelers.  He liked farming at his son Josh's house and even though was ornery, had the biggest heart.  Most of all, Tony loved his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Modene Mason; siblings Jerry Mason and Richard Mason; step-son Kevin Dickson; nephew Bradley Moses and infant grandson Bryer Ray Mason.

Tony is survived by his sons Warren Mason of Monett, MO, Josh (Mickinze) Mason and Zach Mason both of Cuba, MO and Colten (Ashley) Mason of Roy, WA; step-children McKinley (Megan) Griggs of Eureka, MO, Justin Ogle (Britteny Chilton) of Steelville, MO, Tiffany (Vernon) Bugbee of Monett, MO and Tamara Ogle of Owensville, MO; siblings Dennis (Tina) Mason of Cherryville, MO, Floyd “Allen” Mason of Cook Station, MO, Cecil (Tari Jo) Mason, Ronnie (Stacy) Mason and Joyce “Jean” (Jason) Luke all of Steelville, MO, Connie (Aaron) Wellbaum of IL, Helen (Bill) McClain of Potosi, MO and Tammy (Jeff) Wells of Salem, MO; grandchildren Hayden Eugene Mason, Logan Mason, Payten Mason and Baby Mason on the way; step-grandchildren Kameron and Adelyn Griggs, Aubree, Gunner and Rylee Rice, Jazlyn, Jaylee and Maclyn Bugbee and Carson Rolens; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating.  Burial was at Antioch Cemetery in Potosi, MO.  Memorials were suggested to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
