Travis Shane Hagemeier, of Viburnum, MO and formerly of Davisville, MO, was born on Tuesday, May 5, 1987, in Fredericktown, MO, to William "Shane" Hagemeier and Candace Lynn Drew. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Viburnum, MO, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the age of 38 years, 7 months and 28 days.
Travis grew up on the family farm in Davisville, Missouri, where he learned early the value of hard work, loyalty, and love for the outdoors. He attended Viburnum Schools and graduated with the Class of 2005, staying active in track, baseball, and basketball. After school, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Doe Run in Viburnum, a job he took pride in, and he was a member of the Eagles Club, where he found fellowship and friendship.
Travis enjoyed the simple things that made life good: hot rod trucks, hunting, side-by-side riding, firing up the grill for a good BBQ, country music playing in the background, and a cold beer shared with friends. He felt most at peace outdoors, surrounded by the land he loved and the people he cared about.
Above all else, Travis’s greatest joy and deepest love were his two children, his son Travis and his daughter Holley. They were his entire world. Being a father was not just a role to him—it was the most important job he believed he would ever have, and he gave it his whole heart.
Travis had a way of putting others before himself, always ready with one of his side hugs or a silly comment to lift your spirits when you needed it most. He was a loving and devoted father, a cherished son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and a true friend to many. His kindness, laughter, and steady presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in all of us.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leland & Juanita Hagemeier and Douglas Drew.
Travis is survived by his loving children, Travis Carter Hagemeier and Holley Anne Hagemeier both of Viburnum, MO; father, William “Shane” Hagemeier of Davisville, MO; mother, Candace Foshee of Dillard, MO; step-mother, Victoria Gill of Pevely, MO; grandmother Sandy Drew of Lansing, MI; brothers, Calvin Hagemeier (Kayla Kissilov) of Davisville, MO, Tyler Eaton of Ironton, MO and Zackary Eaton of Viburnum, MO; sister, Alexandra (Joshua) Stieren of St. Louis, MO; aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and many friends.
