Warren Gurley Obituary

Warren C. Gurley, of Leasburg, MO, was born on Monday, October 29, 1945 in Golden, CO to Ira William Gurley and Hallie "Evelyn" Licklider Gurley.  He passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 26 days.

Warren graduated from Lynwood High School in Lynwood, CA and then attended Compton Community College.  He worked in electronics for many years and then after he moved to Missouri he worked at McDonald's in St. James, MO where he also retired.  Warren accepted the Lord early in life and attended First Baptist Church of Leasburg, MO.  Warren was a people person, he talked to people all over the world on his CB handheld radio and was also a member of the local HAM Radio Club.  Warren also loved trains, which he collected models of, and enjoyed living by the railroad tracks.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Evelyn Gurley; brother R. Keith Gurley and niece Sonja Starkey.

He is survived by his sisters LaDonna Perry of Burlington, KY and Cynthia (Paul) Sumner of Newport Beach, CA; sister-in-law Susanne Gurley of Scott, LA; companion Wanda Heads of Leasburg, MO; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; many cousins and friends.

There was a graveside service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Licklider Cemetery, Cuba, MO with Bro. Paul Ransom officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
