Whitney Waller Obituary

Whitney Nicole Waller of Steelville, MO was born on Wednesday, November 15, 1989 in Rolla, MO to Richard Allen Waller and Marge Mae Autry Waller.  She passed away at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the age of 31 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Whitney was a lifelong resident of Steelville and graduated from Steelville High School with the Class of 2008.  She attended First Assembly of God Church in Steelville, MO and had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at a young age.  During high school, she was a member of “Poms” dance team and enjoyed participating in the pep club during basketball games.  After graduation, she attended Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO then transferred to Missouri Baptist University and graduated with her teaching degree in April of 2015.   She had a love for children and put those qualities to use as she worked as a Paraprofessional at Bourbon Elementary until her health began to fail.  Whitney loved to go shopping and was a fashionista; she was always matching from head to toe, and never mixed her name brands.  She enjoyed to be on the go; each weekend she had big plans whether it was road-tripping, going to Branson, attending a concert or ballgame or just to find a new place to eat with her mom and best friend Kim.  (Marge was usually the last to hear about the plans, but was always ready to tag along).  Whitney loved country music.  She was a die-hard Cardinal baseball fan.  She enjoyed to facetime her nephews, Finn and Drew, even knowing she’d be looking at the ceiling or getting put in a drawer.  Whitney was a kind, sweet and quiet girl that also was strong, brave and a fighter.  In the midst of her pain, she would greet others with a smile and uplifting spirit. Most of all, Whitney loved her family and friends.     She was a loving daughter, aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents William “Bill” Waller, Richard Autry and Erma Hansen; great grandparents Alvin and Edna Walker and Clarence and Mae Smith.

Whitney is survived by her parents Marge Waller and Richard Waller both of Steelville, MO; brothers Chad Waller of Steelville, MO and Scott (Karla) Waller of Leander, TX; nephews Finn and Drew Waller of Leander, TX; grandmother Betty Waller of Fulton, MO; special friend Kim Cook of Steelville, MO; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
