On December 8, 2023 Eric "Big Head" Stewart passed away due to heart complications at his home in Cuba, Missouri. He leaves behind three daughters, Hayley Ford of Illinois, Alyssa Seward of Illinois, & Tricia Stewart of Missouri; eight grandchildren Bertalyn, Maclaylyn, Urijah, Dayin, Alizalyn, Finnegan, Bentley, and Behr; siblings Kim (Alvin) Dunn of Alabama, Anthony Stewart of Alaska, and Cynthia Stewart of Tennessee; family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Deborah; father, Stanley; niece, Ashlyn; and grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles. Eric moved from Illinois to Salem, Missouri in 1997 where he resided until December 2022 when he moved to Cuba, Missouri.
Eric was an avid gun collector who loved nothing more than to be outside shooting. He also loved to turn wrenches and could fix just about anything brought on by his passion for NASCAR. He loved the river, being with friends, and his family. Eric was a hard man with a huge, soft heart. He loved to smile, laugh, and never met a stranger that he wasn't friends with. He would always go out of his way to help those he loved in any way that he could. Nobody has a memory with him without at least one of his jokes and a chuckle. His kids and grandkids will always remember that he gave the most amazing hugs & he knew when they needed it most.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition and will hold burial services at a later date in Tennessee per his wishes.
From the family: "from our family to you, thank you to everyone who loved and supported him through his life."
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
