William “Bill” Edward Siems, Jr. of Steelville, MO was born on Thursday, March 18, 1971 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL to William E. Siems, Sr. and Shirley A. Havens Siems. He passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, MO at the age of 50 years, 9 months and 10 days.
Bill graduated from Christian Heritage High School in Brattleboro, VT. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior early in life and was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Steelville, MO. He was employed with Country Mart in Steelville, MO for many years. Bill was a hard worker and touched many lives through his business, Candy Cane RV Park and Campground, which he has owned and operated for the past twenty years. Since an early age, he loved Christmas and the meaning behind it, proclaiming Jesus is the reason for the season. It was the focus of his life year round. Each year Bill decorated the park for the holidays, giving free train rides and tours of the lights and decorations to the children in the community. He enjoyed collecting Christmas items, especially nativity scenes as well as all things Disney. He was sentimental, had a conservative viewpoint and loved his country. Bill was fond of dogs, especially his former dogs Midnight and Max. Most of all, Bill loved his family.
Bill is preceded in death by his father William E. Siems, Sr.; aunt Nancy Siems; uncles Charles Vincent, Bobby McShane, and Tommy McShane.
Bill is survived by his mother, Shirley A. Siems of Steelville, MO; sister Rebekah (John) Simpson of Tallahassee, FL; brother Benjamin (Elizabeth) Siems of Las Vegas, NV; uncle David Siems of Port St. Lucie, FL; aunts Kathy (Lloyd) Solomon of Tampa, FL and Virginia Vincent of Simpsonville, SC; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM on Monday, January 03, 2022 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service immediately followed at 12:00 PM on January 03, 2022 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Steelville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials were suggested to Samaritan’s Purse –Operation Christmas Child at PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or online at www.samaritanspurse.org.
