William "Bill" Eugene Weber, of Steelville, MO was born on Monday, February 1, 1937 in Steelville, MO to John Owen Weber and Velma Pearl Weber, nee Harman. He passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 5 days.
Bill graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 1956. Bill made his home in Steelville where he farmed and worked construction. Bill married Linda Jean Vaughan during a fishing trip to Miami, Oklahoma on February 21, 1992, that turned into a double wedding with Jack and Gloria Jones. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for fishing, hunting and gardening. Bill loved music, and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family. Bill was also an athlete in his younger years and later enjoyed watching sports-especially when his children and grandchildren were playing them. But, Bill’s greatest love was for the Lord, which grew greatly over time. Bill accepted the Lord as his personal savior as a young man. Bill was a regular attendee of Steelville First Assembly, enjoyed participating in his son’s weekly online bible study, and read the Bible every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Velma Weber; parents-in-law Robert and Norma Vaughan; children Rev. John Franklin Weber and Rev. Loretta Diane Weber; son-in-law Alan Beers; siblings John Weber, Jr., Wilma Lee (Richard) Nabe, Mildred “LaVern” (Paul) McPeters, George Robert (Dorothy) Weber, Wanda Sue (Richard) Asplin, and infant brothers Haskell Leroy Weber and Larry Joe Weber; great granddaughter Katherin M. Weber.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Weber of Steelville, MO; children William “Bill” (Vicky) Weber and Ronald “Ronny” (Lisa) Weber both of Steelville, MO, Joanne Beers of Jupiter, FL, Rev. Robert “Bobby” (Christina) Weber of Frisco, TX, Tina (Larry) Chilton, Tonya Turnbough (companion Mike Janes), Sonya (Dean) Walker and Chris (Natalie) Turnbough all of Steelville, MO; daughter-in-law Charlene (Kevin) Jones of Edgar Springs, MO; sisters Bonnie (Clarence) Garrison of Steelville, MO and Faye (Edwin) Wright of Washington, MO; sisters-in-law Sandra (Mike) Wolff of Cahokia, IL and Edith Weber of VA; brother-in-law Ronald Vaughan (companion Karen) of Steelville, MO; 17 grandchildren: Crystal (Steve) Cowen, Billy (Shelby) Weber, James (Kelsey) Weber, Jodi (Ryan) Hanchey, Amy Beers, Robert (Katie) Weber, Marcus (Jordan) Weber, Cassandra (Ron) Toribio, Carl (Brandi) Weber, Cody Weber, Ryan (Amanda) Weber, Reese Weber, Britteny Chilton (Justin Ogle), Brandon (Hallie) Chilton, Krista (Landon) McDonald, Audrey Turnbough and Hannah Turnbough; 29 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Steelville First Assembly of God with Rev. Bobby Weber and Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. The Service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page. Burial was at Steelville Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to the Steelville First Assembly of God.
