William "Lawrence" H. Gillam

William "Lawrence" H. Gillam, of Cuba, MO and formerly of Steelville, MO, was born on Saturday, March 6, 1965, in Potosi, MO, to Howard Roney Ray Gillam, Sr. and Shirley Jean Gillam, nee Laney.  He passed away at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

Lawrence attended school in Viburnum and worked as a handy man for many years in the local area.  He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, cooking and playing games on his phone. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Gillam, Sr. and Shirley Gillam; sister, Brenda Lee Gillam.

Lawrence is survived by his special friend, Shirley Brakefield of Cuba, MO; brother, Howard Gillam, Jr. of Courtois, MO; nephew, Jessie Gillam of Sullivan, MO; niece, Sabrina Hearst of Branson, MO; other relatives, cousins and friends.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition. Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with final expenses (Hutson Funeral Home, PO Box 306, Steelville, MO  65565).
